The history of DEUTA-WERKE began in Berlin in 1905. Over the decades, a company specialising in eddy-current tachometers developed into an internationally recognised specialist in measurement, display and data acquisition systems for rail transport.
From the very beginning, technical precision has been at the heart of the company’s philosophy. DEUTA soon specialised in tachometers and speed measurement technology for locomotives and traction vehicles – a field that grew steadily in importance with the rapid expansion of rail transport. Through continuous product development and close collaboration with vehicle manufacturers and rail operators, the company quickly established itself as a reliable partner to the rail industry.
As technology evolved, DEUTA consistently expanded its portfolio. Mechanical and electromechanical solutions were supplemented by electronic systems and later further developed using digital technologies.
