Many systems for control and operator stations focus exclusively on protecting the electronic process control computer. However, this often leaves a critical safety gap unaddressed: the digital displays. Faulty or tampered data on displays cannot be verified in real time by on-site operating personnel or during operation – a risk to the entire plant.


With IconTrust® HMI, you can configure interactive indicator lights and pushbuttons in no time via a web browser. The control and display elements are presented in a dynamic tile layout on the HMI. The new control units are reconfigured remotely on the HMI.

A typical IconTrust® HMI application is the representation of digital control panels with SIL requirements. Whilst hard-wired control panels involve numerous steps to set up and project changes are time-consuming and costly, IconTrust® HMI represents digital control panels with a safety level up to SIL3.

Secure visualisation of critical process data

The IconTrust® HMI enables digital functional safety up to SIL3 and reliably monitors defined areas on the TFT display to ensure the content is correct. The technology clearly distinguishes between valid and invalid information.


Safety-related display and control elements such as indicator lights, pushbuttons or text fields can be configured on the user interface in a matter of moments. IconTrust® technology monitors display and input areas independently of the standard PC system.

For each defined area, the image actually displayed is analysed in every refresh cycle and compared with the corresponding input value. In the event of discrepancies, IconTrust® immediately triggers a safety-related response.
